MY EXAMS

Woven by Hand

The creative energy of the average person is being sapped by an abstract, conformist system of education, and by the extension of industrial techniques to every field. But while the machine threatens to reduce human beings to passivity, it also frees them to develop a potential that will wither away if it does not find real fields for action.

Not a lot to report.

Have been inside for too long, spazzing, studying and st...not alliterating. My brain is fried, but not enough to be the fun cabin-fever-caffeine fried. Thanks to my classical mythology exam today I could, if you would like, spout lists of Greeks and Greek things but that is about all. Feeble attempts to prepare for rhetoric exam, I am counting on a decent mark on that last essay to redeem any idiot thing I write tomorrow. Fun exam question: Dante's guide in The Inferno was... My answer: helpful.

...want a cold one?

On: before the fall...of snow.

On: pleonexia.

On: showing crafts.

Nox and I went to this craft show a few weeks ago. It was overwhelmingly lovely, I went into overload. Then once I was sufficiently stunned I ran into a friend I hadn't seen in years. After browsing for a while I realized that many of the ideas presented were from books that I’d at least glanced at in chapters. It was still a lovely trip, but I was sad at the non original works.
